The online session aims to educate and inform entrepreneurs, small businesses and SMMEs on the services the City provides and how we can help them benefit from using these services and also, how they can access these services.
Set to take place on Thursday, 28 August, the Lunchtime Livestream with Economic Growth session will be hosted online via Teams and the City’s YouTube page with the intention of putting SMMEs in touch with the relevant officials or platforms for their business needs. Whether it’s training, the Business Hub or tangible steps towards growing your business, the session will assist to bridge the gaps and provide a way forward.
Why you should join:

Equip yourself for smart, sustainable expansion. Get your hands on tailored resources and tools designed to help you scale up strategically - focusing on genuine customer needs rather than arbitrary upgrades.
Ask your burning questions to the panel of knowledgeable speakers from the Economic Growth Directorate.
This information-sharing session will provide insights into the support offered by the Business Hub, the investment incentives programme, various enterprise, supplier and skills development programmes, and more.
'This initiative was born from the drive to ensure every entrepreneur, whether they’re just starting out or already running a small business, has direct access to the tools, opportunities and networks to help them succeed. Too often, these services feel out of reach.
‘Our mission is to make the City’s Economic Growth offering truly accessible and inclusive, so that SMMEs can get the practical support they need to create jobs, drive innovation and grow Cape Town’s economy,’ said Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.
